Let’s Go Fly A Kite
This gorgeous lightweight kite is perfect for tiny hands! A run around in the sunshine with ribbons flying behind perfectly captures the essence of summer.
Step 1
For this project you will need:
- Glue Dots – Mini & Permanent
- Pretty Gift Wrap
- Paper Straws
- Bamboo Skewer
- String
- Ribbon
- Scissors
Step 2
Cut a kite shape from wrapping paper – make sure you have a front and a back piece.
Step 3
Use Glue Dots to attach a straw to the length of your kite.
Step 4
Add a second straw as a cross piece to provide shape and strength to your kite.
Step 5
Use Mini Glue Dots to secure the back piece to your kite.
Step 6
Tie a bow with your ribbon and leave the ends trailing. Attach the ribbon to the base of your kite.
Step 7
Make a simple string reel by adhering some string to a straw offcut with a Glue Dot. Cut a section of bamboo skewer and pass through the straw for handles.
Step 8
Complete your kite by attaching the string reel to the top of the kite.
