Cactus Cards
Paint swatches are a fabulous resource when making cards. The range of colours and gorgeous matte finish adds texture and variety to craft projects. Paired with Glue Dots, you can have some quick and easy on-trend cards ready in under ten minutes with no sticky mess to clean up.
So next time you are at the hardware, pick up a few paint swatches, grab your scissors and Glue dots and get creative with these cute Cactus Cards.
Step 1: Gather your materials
For this project you will need:
- Mini Glue Dots
- A selection of paint swatches
- Crepe Paper Streamers or artificial flowers
- Plain Card Stock
- Scissors
Step 2: Cut out shapes
Each Card will need a pot and a cactus shape. You can cut a few extra pieces to make flower heads or embellishments. Once you have the basic shape you can get creative!
Step 3: Arrange your pieces
Always lay your card pieces out on the blank stock to make sure your design is correct before you reach for your Glue dots. When you are happy with the design, use Mini Glue Dots to stick your pieces down.
Step 4: Make crepe paper flower
Cut tiny petals and press several onto a Mini Glue dot. Once you have a few, carefully peel from the paper backing and place on your project. By building up several layers of petals you can form a simple flower in no time.
Step 5: Add a face
Add a few final details with a pen to add character to your cards.
