Herb Planters
Fresh herbs growing on the kitchen windowsill not only look great, they are a healthy way to add more flavour to your cooking. Rustic hessian fabric and cute mini chalkboards make these little planters a gorgeous addition to your kitchen décor.
Using Glue lines and Extra Strength Glue dots, you can upcycle some small tin cans into a gorgeous gift in no time.
Step 1: Gather your materials
For this project you will need:
- Extra Strength Glue Dots & Glue Lines
- Clean, empty, tin cans
- Hessian Fabric
- Mini chalkboards from the craft store (or try making your own with some plywood and chalkboard paint)
- Scissors
Step 2: Cut your fabric
Cut a strip of hessian fabric the same width as your can. Position Glue Lines in a line down the edge of the can.
Step 3: Cover the can
Wrap the can with hessian fabric and secure with another strip of glue lines. Press firmly to secure.
Step 4: Position the Glue Dot
Carefully place an extra strength glue dot to the centre-back of the mini chalkboard.
Step 5: Finish the planter
Position the mini chalkboard in place and press firmly, ensuring that the glue dot adheres to the hessian fabric.
Fill your planter with potting mix and plant seeds or ready-raised seedlings for an instant effect.
