No Sew Bunny
Our no-sew sock bunny is so quick and easy, you will want to make one for every member of the family! Use as a placeholder at the Easter table, or as a chocolate free gift, Adults and Children alike will be charmed by this floppy eared, soft little friend. This project is so simple, it is suitable for children as young as 7.
Step 1: Gather your materials
For this project you will need:
- Permanent Glue Dots
- New or clean socks
- Rice
- Rubber bands
- Ribbon & floral embellishments
- Small pom poms or acrylic craft balls
- A permanent marker
Step 2: Make the head and body
Fill the toe of your sock full with rice and secure tightly with a rubber band. Continue to fill the second section to form the head and secure with a second rubber band.
Step 3: Secure the head with Glue Dots
Re-arrange filling inside the sock until the bunny sits on the bench without toppling over.
Place the ribbon in place without tying and use a Glue dots to secure the head in place.
Step 4: Cut the ears
Cut the top of the sock down the middle to form two sections and trim into an ear shapes.
Step 5: Add embellishments
Tie a bow around the bunny’s collar and secure in place with a glue dot. Add a craft ball for a tail with a second glue dot and embellish the ears or crown using additional dots until you are happy with your design.
Step 6: Add a face
Add a face to make this sweet little bunny come alive. A couple of simple stitches will really finish off the look, however a simple face drawn with permanent marker is just as effective.
