Upcycle an old ribbon reel into a festive tealight holder with GlueDots Craft Dots and artificial blossoms. The beautiful red and green colours of the foliage are highlighted by the warm glow of the tealight when lit, creating a stunning table decoration for the festive season. You could use battery operated tealights instead.

Step 1: Gather your materials

For this project you will need:

• Glue Dots Craft Dots
• Tealight Candle or Battery Tealight Candle
• Artificial Blossoms and Foliage
• Ribbon Reel

Step 2: Prepare the ribbon reel

Remove the top card from a ribbon reel and line with foliage.

Step 3: Add the tealight

Place a Craft Dot at the base of your tealight and press down firmly on the centre of the ribbon reel base.

Step 4: Adhere blossoms

Use Craft Dots to adhere blossoms around the outside of the ribbon reel.

Step 5: Finish adding blossoms

Continue adding blossoms until the ribbon reel is ringed by flowers.

Step 6: Add sprays of foliage

Add additional sprays of foliage using Craft Dots to soften the look.

Step 7: Complete the tealight candle

Complete your tealight holder. You could use a battery operated tealight instead.
