Christmas Embroidery Hoop Wreath
Embroidery Hoops make the perfect base for a quick and easy Christmas wreath. Finished in traditional colours, we used artificial foliage and embellishments to create a décor item that will last for years to come. Held together with permanent Glue Dots, this wreath is easy to create.
Step 1: Gather your materials
For this project you will need:
- Permanent Glue Dots
- Artificial Foliage, Berries and Pine Cones
- Embroidery Hoop
- Ribbons
- Scissors
Step 2: Attach your Glue Dots
Add a row of glue dots across the area you will be creating your design.
Step 3: Add a layer of foliage
Begin with a layer of foliage. Combine textures and different leaf sizes to form the base of your design.
Step 4: Attach more Glue Dots
Add a second layer of glue dots to the leaves and stems for placement of your next layer of foliage and berries.
Step 5: Continue to layer foliage
Continue the process of adding foliage, and glue dots until you have a good base of greenery. Then finish your design with berries and pine cones
Step 6: Attach ribbons
Add two glue dots at the top of the hoop and attach bi-coloured ribbons. Wind ribbons around the hoop tightly on either side of your foliage design. Finish with a bow at the top – held in place with a final glue dot.
