Stitched in cotton and adorned with hearts, these gorgeous gift bags are ideal for secret messages, small gifts, or a handful of rose petals on Valentine’s Day!

Step 1

For this project you will need:

• Glue Dots – Permanent
• Greaseproof Paper
• Red Thread
• Patterned and Plain Paper
• Scissors

Step 2

Cut out two rectangles the same size from greaseproof paper.

Step 3

Thread your sewing machine with red cotton and stitch around the rectangles on three sides to form a bag. You could sew this by hand.

Step 4

Cut embellishments from the plain and patterned paper. We cut a love heart from patterned paper and a ribbon shape from plain paper.

Step 5

Attach a Glue Dot to the back of the bag.

Step 6

Adhere the ‘ribbon’ to the back of the bag and fold over the top to the front of the bag.

Step 7

Use a second Glue Dot to add a heart or two.

Step 8

Fill your bag with a secret message, small gifts or chocolates, or a handful of rose petals for your sweetheart!
