Storage Pots with Cork Lids
Magazines are a great source of inspiration and materials for your craft. We are loving the prints and papers in Frankie Magazine.
Make yourself some handy storage pots with the papers and display with the divine floral poster by Carolyn Gavin.
Step 1: Gather your materials
For this project you will need:
- Glue lines, Permanent Glue Squares
- Cork tiles
- Small craft corks
- Clean cans
- Pencil & cutting tools
- Scissors
- Craft Papers / Frankie Magazine
Step 2: Trace the can
Use the can to trace a circle onto your cork tile. Cut out two. Trim the second circle slightly small than the first so that it fits snugly inside the can.
Step 3: Apply the Glue Squares
Add Glue squares to the cork tiles and stick together to create a lid.
Step 4: Check the lids fit
Check your lids fit and add a cork on top as a handle. Press firmly to ensure that the glue dots adhere well.
Step 5: Apply Glue Lines
Add glue lines down the length of the can.
Step 6: Finish your storage pot
Cover the can with craft papers, secure with more glue lines, replace the lid and you’re done!
